Hello
This is the last entry for this decade in this journal. I've only had it since 2003, so it doesn't cover the whole damn thing, but whatever. I don't want to form an opinion on the decade just quite yet, though it's appropriately all the rage, it's the only decade i feel i've ever really been in.
Anyhow, it's the last entry because Laura and I are taking off to Spain until January. If you never hear back from me, expect me to have found a suitable source of income somewhere between the Mediterranean and a stringed instrument.
I doubt that anybody reads this anymore, except perhaps accidentally.
But for your accidental inquisition into my unfortunate source of future recollections, i decided to present you with an annual proposition: Please write an anonymous comment, about anything you want, in any way that you want to.
I hope this message finds you well,
-Alejandro (attached)

Between blowing up my car, finding out my (not)girlfriend is (not)pregnant, and planning a NYE party for 1000, I've have a rather stressful week. I've got another entry almost in the can - it will follow soon.

Had my last exposé today and it went ok. Almost done with classes, which is very very good. I still don't know whether I'm going to take next semester off or not. I could work instead, do internships, or/and prepare for GRE grad school application season. Or stress out about exposés. It really shouldn't be as difficult a decision as it seems.
But the main reason I wanted to post (is because i haven't in a while) is to talk about the weather. Seven months ago, in good ol' florida, I accidentally left some brie (from laura's bacc) in my car, and it oven-baked. We ate it, and it was deliciously melted. Florida is so warm that my car doubled as an effective oven. Now france, on the other hand, is not as warm. As a matter of fact, we're going to have a low of 19°F next week. We've taking this to our advantage by, when out of room in our paris-sized fridge (smaller than a pei-sized fridge), leaving food out in the balcony. The food is not only properly preserved, but slightly frozen.
In other words. This same year I both got to use my car as an oven, and my balcony as a fridge. wtf.

also, laura gave me a bottle of whiskey for my birthday. (and fancy chocolates and popcorn). It was a very good one. Despite the difficulties of these last few weeks (academically), I've been very happy. That's that. Next week, Spain!

But i do miss New College, and Florida. I miss people smiling at me for no reason.
